Will connecting 2 air compressors to the same line increase my CFM (air flow rate) to run bigger tools?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

I have 2 small compressors in my garage which are both not up to the job of running tools like a die grinder (for long) or an impact wrench. If i was to connect them both to my main air line, would that increase my air flow rate and run the tools with a greater air consumption?

To connect the 2 compressor’s, the best way would be to connect them both to a receiver and then to your air line. This will give you double your volume of air, but if the compressor’s
are both governed to 60psi then this is the pressure you will get. The difference being the amount of air at your disposal will run an air tool that uses 60psi longer than using a single compressor. To achieve a greater pressure then the pressure at the compressor’s will need to be increased.

Which of the following concerning the Fed’s tools to change the money supply is true?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

A. An increase in the reserve requirement will increase banks’ excess reserves and increase the money multiplier.
B. Changing reserve requirments is potentially the most powerful tool and is therefore the tool that is most used.
C. Changing the discount rate is the most powerful tool because banks are not that fond of borrowing from the Fed.
D> Open market operations refers to the Fed’s buying and selling of U.S. government securities and is the Fed’s most used tool.

I believe its D.

What other tools could i use besides an Oil filter wrench?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

I dont have the money to buy this tool, what other tools could i use?

all are great tricks.

Save the screw driver one for last though.. I have done it ALOT of times but todays oil filters aint what they use to be.. You might end up just ripping the metal shell apart seeing how weak and thin most are now days.

Man’s leather belt that has one finished side and one still rough leather side (rough side around filter)

Large slip joint pilers

a strap of rubber, an old pulley belt

Then if all eles fails drive a screw driver all the way through both sides of filter with a hammer and un screw by grabbing screw driver

Are there any other automotive chain stores that lend tools?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

I know autozone does but the closest one to me is 45 miles away, I was wondering about other chains, like napa, car quest, vip, advanced auto…? Thanks

Let me clue you in on something about loaner tools, even at autozone.

When you "borrow" a tool at autozone, you actually pay the regular retail price for the tool. When you bring it back, they refund your money if the tool isn’t damaged.

So, that being the case, you can go buy the tool anywhere, use it, then take it back. As long as it isn’t damaged and in the original package, they have no reason to refuse a refund.

has any one ever heard of chicago electric powertools?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

if you have what is the quality of them and do you know if they have a warranty on them. looking to buy a decent belt sander and possibly a table saw. but i dont know who chicago electric tools are. i think its harbor freight that markets chicago electric tools.

I have looked at the chicago electric tools at harbor freight. Then went to elsewhere and bought delta, ryobi, milwaukee makita. I believe they are ok, however I have a belief that you pay for what you get and have in the past bought some low price tools that turned out to be a lousy investment. I have owned and been using a craftsman 10" table saw for over 25 years. Recently we built a log home and my son brought over his little Ryobi portable table saw and with a good blade in it, I was really impressed with the quality and operation. I personally would go with quality not low price.

Pneumatic Tools,Machines,Devices that we commonly see or use?

concrete breaker,

whats the fastest way to break a cable lock without power tools?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

your not allowed to use any power tools, a jack, or a hacksaw. whats the fastest way do you think??
ok, your not allowed to use boltcutters either, lol

A big metal bar/pole. Slip it under the lock and start rotating it. If the bar is long enough you should be able to get enough torque to break the lock.

Artists who did images of hand tools?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

I’m looking for some artists who did works featuring hand tools, like the work of Jim Dine. I don’t need images in that style, just any artist who uses images of hand tools in his work.

Any help appreciated.

I found some nice work when I Google Image searched "Tromp L’oil Tools" here’s some I liked:

You can run a search on Google Images & probably get a lot more results.

Hope this helped!
