How To Remove Wheel Locks Without a Key

Posted on March 10th, 2010 by admin

As I state in the video DONOT use this information for illegal purposes, it is intended to HELP you if you happen to loose your wheel lock key. As with most things that I do with cars this didn’t go exactly as planned, in fact there is a significant amount of time between me getting the socket hammered onto the wheel lock and when it actually broke loose, I took a break to work on other things. I also said in the video that they make a special socket for removing wheel locks that makes this a lot easier, do a search for this and you will probably find a set of them. If you can’t find one of these sockets then this might be an option for you to try. The best thing is to try not to loose the lock key in the first place but I realize that this may not always be possible so I made this video for you.

That’s a good way of doing it because all the places I’ve worked those warranties were an issue, either not getting paid what the job was worth or the warranty company not taking care of the customer. Or the customer not reading the contract and not having something covered that they wanted covered. They seem like a rip off to me.
    Thanks for the comment.

I don’t know of a place that doesn’t hate those warranties, the reason, they dictate the price for any job performed, they are not always right. Also, it’s a pain the the backside to get paid by them. In other words make sure the shop you are dealing with honors whatever companies warranty you are trying to get first before you commit. On the flip side I’ve seen them NOT pay for some things causing problems for customers. No, I don’t honor them, nor do I plan to.
