My Air Compressor releases cold and low pressure, how do I fix this?

Posted on April 9th, 2010 by admin

I have a two stage IR STATIONARY AIR COMPRESSOR 13HP. When its cold at night the air compressor pressure goes very slow even when i release all the air and water in the condensation tank. The pressure that comes out of the air lines to move the air tool is so slow that the air tool does not move. How do i solve this problem when I am working in the cold weather.

Check to see if your regulator is frozen or damaged. You can do this by taking it off, and connecting the hose with out it.

What happens if you use an air tool rated at 90psi with an air compressor at 120psi?

Posted on April 7th, 2010 by admin

It is an air ratchet.

Probably nothing if it’s a one-off job with a light-duty cycle.
f it’s a medium or heavy duty cycle or longer operation, use the tool at it’s max. rated input pressure if you want it to last. Most important: provide a good in-line lubricator just upstream of the ratchet.
