Where can I get these tools?

My ipod has broken and Apple won’t replace it becuase they think it’s due to the dent when it isn’t becuase my previously replaced ipod touches had the same problem with no dents which means it can’t have triggered it. They have also told me it will cost £106 to repair that’s with discount and I’m not paying that and would like to do it my self. Where could I get the tools from and how much and also where can I get a decent high quaility hard-drive from and how much? I’m capable of doing these things but maybe just with a little diagram to make me 200% sure! Becuase there is no way Apple will get that sort of money out of me!
