What is your opinion of electric grass trimmers?

I found this grass trimmer here:
http://www.worxyardtools.com/garden-tools/cordless-grass-trimmer.html
It’s called a Worx GT, and I’m considering buying it. However, what are other gardeners opinions of electric grass trimmers? Do they have the same power, are they environmentally cleaner?
they are junk. You are limited to where the cord can reach. If you buy a high quality machine(stihl) you won’t have any problems. No they don’t come close in power and they aren’t any better for the environment because you are using electricity that was generated from the burning of coal.

They are not as power full but are a lot less trouble.

they are good
no more gasoline
” ”’ oil
” ”’ starting problems
However i would make a suggestion
I prefer getting electrical lawn car equipment that runs on a power cord and not a battery.
The cord is really not a nuisance once you get used to pulling it around with you and it never ”powers down” like a battery does.
Surprizingly the price one pays does not matter. The cheapest is just a good as the most expensive.

if you want something that is going to last you should get a gas powered trimmer.i own a landscaping company and i have found that the electric tools aren’t as good and don’t last long, for commercial or home use.i personaly use echo brand
.you can also try ryobi they are moderatly priced and work well for home use.they come with different attachments like weed eater, edger, chain saw ect.
tools.you can find them on ebay reasonably priced as they will
be more expencive retail.the electric stuff is good for the enviorment but the enviorment isn’t going to buy you new equiptment when it breaks

I’ve had mine for about 8 yrs now and it’s great. Lightweight and you don’t have the mess you have with a gas powered one. No starting problem, oil everywhere, etc. Any brand should be fine.
