   I am in the middle of buying a house and land for a food forest, doing just that is on my list of things to build. When I do, I will let you and the world know how to.

   I have to agree …
   I have to agree with the late Joe Polaisher on the use of chippers as appropriate.

   But if you can build me an easy to use chipper that is reliable and durable and reasonably priced, you’ve got a customer.

   OMFG do you know …
   OMFG do you know the amount of green house gases those spew? You can do the same thing manually.. or even make your own bike powered one. They are highly destructive to the planet, as are lawn mowers, weed whackers and leaf blowers.

   I agree. A wood chipper/mulcher is a wonderful invention.

   There is one …
   There is one motorized tool that I certainly don’t feel any reservations about using and that is a wood chipper. The amount of soil (and heat via composting) I can produce is more constructive than the destructive manufacturing and running costs.
