    You are right. If you have a drill press or a drill with a large bit, The hollowing out will go faster but you have to be careful not to ruin your work.

    I’m trying the gouge you are holding at 5:33.
    But I think I worked my way through that problem by doing a circular motion with one of the more precise tools, which results in a gouge-type action.
    I’m on to hollowing out the mask now though, and I have a feeling a gouge would help a lot here.

    I’ve been watching your mask-making series, and this is REALLY cool, sir.
    I’m making my own mask right now, and this has been really helpful. I found that I have a lot of excess wood on top of mine, so I’ve been trying my gouge, but it doesn’t seem to be working =/
    I’m sure it probably just needs to be sharpened. It’s old.
    But really, VERY neat, sir.
