circular saw’s are a lot more versatile than a stationary table saw. they are also less money. unless you are doing very precise cuts for cabinets or moldings a circular saw would be my choice. you can still be very accurate with a circular saw.
i really like all things made by Dewalt. a few extra bucks but you can’t beat the quality.

Circular saw is most reasonable to me. It can be used anywhere and for many different things. The table saw would be OK, if it is just the table and you can take the circular out when you need to.– you can always use saw horses or something else to put your boards on before you saw……xx

If you are going to be using it mostly for stud walls then get a chop saw.
Table saws are to hard to handle for this sort of thing but are good for ply-wood and cutting boards length-wise.
I would suggest getting something by DeWalt.

Get it from Sears if you can. If not Sears try the Makita series.

You should choose a circular over a table saw. When it comes to cutting studs and general home improvement projects, the circular is the most versatile. I’d agree going with Sears. Craftsman tools have a lifetime warranty and are very durable.
