@acnn3 10 seconds into their song “My Girls” and I’m realizing they are pointless. Tool has nothing to do with being art, they have to do with being expressive. Animal Collective is attempting to be artistic by expressing themselves in a fake way. Now listening to “No More Running” there is no similarity in this genre and theirs. They barely scratch the surface of potential, tool is in every sense better. But, this is an opinion, so discard this if you’d like. Just don’t compare genres.

@acnn3 no ones even heard of animal collective, who the is tht? tool’s won like 7 awards and the guitarist is the 46th best in the world. their style is completely unique and their lyrics possibly reflect the truth of the universe. ppl treat them like the wright brothers, crazy, but they will go down in history. if in 30 years noone else remembers them, i sure as will, and im someone dipshit.

If you guys want to hear real art, listen to Animal Collective and have your minds blown.
Listen to their album, Merriweather Post Pavillion; it’s better than Lateralus. No one will remember Tool 30 years from now. What Animal Collecitive are doing now, is innovation at its finest.
